Well, I have had a lot of activity on the airline job front lately. There have been 2 positions that I am interested in that I have interviewed for lately.
The 1st position is a Systems Support Specialist (computer help desk.) This position would be in one of the coorporate buildings (read: not in the airport), which is only 6 miles from my house. If I get this job I will quit the job at the law firm as well and just work a TON of hours at the one job. I have already gone on 2 interviews for this position. They are interested in me, but giving me time to find out about the 2nd job (which I want more). It is plan B.
The 2nd position is a Pricing/Forcasting Analyst. This is the job I really want. It would pay what I currently make at the 2 jobs combined. It would include vacation time and and allow me to take 3 day weekends often (read: allow me to travel more). I went on a 2nd interview for this position today. I feel pretty good about it, but you never know. It was one of the most intense interviews I have ever been on. It was 3 HOURS LONG! I met with 3 managers, seperately, then had lunch with what would be one of my coworkers. They asked me a ton of questions trying to establish if I would fit in with their group and learning how logically I think. As we all know, I think logically. That is not the part I am worried about. It is the other parts. You just never know if someone is going to like you or not and if you are what they are looking for. The good news is that I should find out quickly. I was told that I should hear by Monday if I got the job or not. If I don't get this position I will let the people with position number one know so they can offer me a position. Either way, things will be changing soon.
I will keep you posted.
