I didn't realize just how long it has been since I posted on my blog.
The truth is, that other than complaining about passengers, or telling the stories of stupid passengers and my interactions with them, I really don't have much to tell, nor the energy to stare at the computer and look back at what has been going on.
I STILL don't have a paralegal job. I have a WONDERFULL friend who helped get me a temp gig. Maybe it will be fruitfull over the holidays, maybe it won't. We'll see, but at least I get to put my brain in paralegal mode for a few days. That alone will be nice. That and earning real money for a few days. :)
I did make it through the round of layoffs this summer. So I still have my job at the airline, for now. I don't know how many rounds my senority will get me through.
I spoke to a friend recently who told me she had recently started sitting down a the end of the night and writing down 5 things she is thankful for. I decided I liked this and have begun doing so. I am trying not to repeat, because that would be cheating. My first night, my 5 things were:
- a place to live
- a job
- a family who loves me and is there for me
- friends who will do anything for me
- a car that starts up like a champ even though it is a 2002 with 203,000 miles on it.
It hasn't been easy to find 5 DIFFERENT things every night, but I have been doing it. Most of it revolves around my awesome coworkers and my not killing particular passengers. But my core 5 up there are pretty hard to beat, and AWESOME to remember. :)
