Crazy Day

Okay so I have been wrapping up work, saying goodbye and all the other things you do when your last day is Friday.

Well, I got an email today from US Airways. It was an email offering me the position that I REALLY wanted. I called the guy and told him the situation. He told me that I have to talk to the hiring manager for the other position and ask them if they will let me out of the agreement to take their position. So, I sent an email to the 3 managers that I was talking to. I got an out of office reply for 2 of them. One will be back in on Monday and the other on Tuesday. I am supposed to start with them on Monday.

Here is were it gets complicated (Believe me, I know what you are thinking.) Once I start the new position, I have to wait 90 days before I can accept another promotion. If I can get this settled now, I will be able to start with their next training group. This group starts on Monday, October 15th. This means that I will be at the law firm for another month. The good news is that they are willing to let me stay for another month. Otherwise, I have to wait and apply again the next time the position opens, and I don't know when that will be. How much does that SUCK?!

The only real down side to this job is that I won't be able to go to Germany in October (I was going to go the week of the 20th, as in my 2nd week on the job), but it will give me more time off and allow me to go for longer another time. I'm just hoping I don't have to wait too long!

I will let you know what happens as soon as I do.

In other news: The first year associates started with the law firm yesterday. They put one in the office across from my desk. I don't know much about him, but I have found myself shamelessly flirting with him. This is very much NOT like me, but I keep doing it before I even realize that I am. I have to MAKE myself stop. How bad is that?! As my neighbor informed me, now I might have a month to see what I can work out. :)
