I went in today and signed up with Curves. Thanks so all the money I received for Christmas I was able to pay the start up fee and prepay for several months.
I didn't have enough time after I signed up, did a weigh in, and had my measurements done, to actually work out. I have an appointment set for tomorrow so they can show me the work out and teach me how to use all the equimpent.
I am very excited about this. I chose a location near my full time job so I can go in on my hour lunch break. This will be good because I really don't need an hour lunch break, and it will give me a reason to get up from my desk. I have been eating at my desk way too much lately. I need to start getting up from my desk for a while. Going to Curves will kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speak. :)
Now that I have the good news out of the way...
So, as part of the program they take your measurements, weigh you and have you hold a machine that determines your body fat percentage. I'm pretty sure that the only motivation I am going to need right now is to post my body fat percentage all over the place. If I want to eat crap, there's my body fat percentage. If I don't want to work out, there's my body fat percentage. It was a scary number and it should get me off my ass.
Soon I will replace it with how much I have lost and the quick amount of time I lost it in. How's that for positive reinforcement?! :)
