I leave for the cruise on Friday so I spend the week cleaning up the last of the crap from this whole mess.
Monday I FINALLY get the chance to go to the gym. When I walked in I told the lady I needed to change my auto draft info and what happened. This is just a woman who works there and she is an idiot.
The short version is that since my payment was due to be withdrawn in a few days, they needed to process the new info that afternoon. They needed the letter I had the bank write with my new account info since I didn't have a check and they don't do debit cards. Sounds easy enough only this lady was an idiot and pissed me off witht the whole thing. She even suggested that I go to the ATM across the street to withdraw the cash, because once again, their money was more important than my life. Now, had this been the owner, I would never have gone there again, but this was just a dope that doesn't have an ounce of customer service skills. She further pissed me off in telling me that they would need the letter.
me: "Okay, how late are you open? I'll bring it in after work."
her: "actually, we need it right now or else the transaction will process and you will have to pay the nsf fee?"
me: "seriously? You couldn't have mentioned this before?"
I then have to leave and go home to get the letter. I return with the letter and she tells me that it is probably a good idea if I carry it with me. WHAT?! My brain has just frozen up. Are you kidding? I then inform her I have no need to carry it around because I have been able to take care of everything without it, and after what happened, I'm not exactly comfortable carrying my account info around like that.
I finish the stupid paperwork and as I get up to leave she says "I hope your day gets better." I shot back, "My day was just fine till I got here." Okay, so maybe it was uncalled for, but I was PISSED.
On Wednesday, I drive up AGAIN to the temp agency to get my paycheck so I can deposit it so I will have money for my trip. I also checked my account so see if the predeposit notification had been recieved. It had. GOOD! My paycheck will be direct deposited while I am gone.
This entire mess should be behind me now. It is my turn to get off the bus.
If only. Once again, this is MY life we are talking about.
