Okay, seriously. HOW DO I GET OFF THE BUS!

It took several conversations with the temp agency and more than once having to resist the urge to put my head through a wall, but I FINALLY got my paycheck and they have FINALLY agreed to write a letter. They were more than happy to talk to someone, but writing a letter is like passing a bill. You have to get so much approval it is RIDICULOUS!

She told me I would have the check by 5. I told her I needed it before 4 so I could deposit it and contact the bank, in UTAH, to release the funds, since I would be depositing at a share branch rather than an actual branch. I explained to her that UT is an hour ahead and I needed to do it before they close.

The check showed up around 3, but no letter. After I deposited the check, I called the temp agency, and learned of the letter issue. She FINALLY wrote the letter and faxed it over, after 5 our time. She then called me 3 times to tell me she had done it but couldnt get anyone to answer at my bank. NO SHIT SHERLOCK! It was after 6pm on a Friday night in UT. She wanted me to call them then call her to let her know it was done. I decided not to call her back because there was no way for me to verify it. (I did call the bank on Monday morning. Everything is fine. I called the temp agency then.)

I left work and headed to the shift I had picked up in the airport. I showed my airport badge (as opposed to my AIRLINE badge) to get through security. The girl stopped me. My badge had expired on the 22nd (it was the 24th). She called her supervisor, who called my supervisor. It took almost 15 minutes, but they finally let me through with the instruction that I was not allowed to go through any doors that weren't part of the public area. I asked her what I should do for the weekend, because I was working all weekend. She told me I could get through security with my airline badge and everything would be fine. They confiscated my badge for the airline MOD to pick up.

The MOD came to "chat" at some point. I again asked what I should do for the rest of the weekend. He said the same thing TSA had said. Cool. I let him know I would get it fixed next week, but it would take a few days because I would have to do it in pieces over my lunch breaks from my "weekday" job. He said that would be fine.

It worked out fine. I just told all my coworkers I couldn't go down the jetway, and everything was cool.

On Saturday my shift manager had me trade with a guy at the passenger assistance counter, because I was scheduled single agent on a few of my flights. That is kind of hard to do when you can't go down the jetway. I worked 12 hours on Saturday.

Sunday morning, I slept through my alarm and woke up when I was supposed to leave. I hurried and got dressed and parked in the pay lot. I clocked in with 4 minutes to spare. I didn't have to start working my 1st flight for an hour. JUST MY LUCK! I sat down and started doing some computer based training. A ticket counter supervisor (I work at the gates) came up and verified my name. She then told me to she needed to speak to me and to come see her when I was done with the training.

It turns out that I am not allowed to work without an airport badge. This isn't the AIRLINES rule, it is only for this airport. I am being sent home. I was PISSED! Why did they let me work yesterday? Why didn't they TELL ME yesterday? Why did they have to wait for me to start my 5:30AM shift before telling me? Why did the same MOD who told me on Friday I could work all weekend send an email to a supervisor I don't know to tell me I can't work SUNDAY. I was PISSED and tired, so I went home and spent the day sleeping, with my cat on the bed next to me.

I called on Monday to make sure they knew that I was not going to be able to get my badge replaced that day. It was still going to take me a few days and I didn't want to get in trouble. I was going to use the fact that they had let me work on Monday as ammo. The didn't put up a fight AT ALL and told me to get it taken care of in time for my shift on Friday. No problem.

I went yesterday and got the airline portion of it taken care of, and went today to do the rest. I know have a badge that is good for 2 years instead of 6 months.

Don't get me wrong, it is COMPLETELY my fault it expired, I was pissed that I was told I could work, then it turned out I couldn't, and I didn't get paid. If they had at least told me on Friday I couldn't work all weekend, I would have had the weekend off. But getting 3 hours of sleep both nights because you have to be at work at 5:30am SUCKS, even if you do get to go home the second day.

I WANT OFF THE BUS!
