Flight to Salt Lake City - Part 2

By the time I got to the airport, there were 3 empty seats. One of the people on the list above me never checked in, I was on YEAH!

I was SO WRONG when I thought all my troubles were over. We left late because we needed more fuel due to weather on the way to SLC. I called my dad to let him know.

The flight was fine. We hit some turbulance around central UT, but no big deal.

We were coming in for a landing, then the engines got loud and we began to rise. The pilot came on and said there was a warning light and that we were going to try again. As we circled the city for the 2nd time, I thought maybe we were burning off the extra fuel. By the 3rd circle, I was CONVINCED we were burning off the extra fuel.

We finally landed. As we were taxiing around the runway, you could see fire engines near the terminal with their lights going. I wondered what was going on and if they were there because of our flight. We taxied around a LOT more than usual in SLC then finally made our way to the terminal. We stopped several hundred yards away from the gate. The pilot got on and told us there was something wrong with the front wheel, which was why we hadn't landed, and they could not steer the tire so we were going to have to wait for a tug to pull us into the gate.

They FINALLY pulled us into an empty gate (not our airline's assigned gate) and we deplaned. We were somewhere in the vicinity of being 35-45 minutes late. I called my dad to let him know I was FINALLY on my way to be picked up.

At least I made it, right?
