I brought my sister's cat Eddie to Arizona to he could retire from family life and spend his golden years in the lap of luxury. He gets 2 meals a day which are a combination of dry and canned food. He sleeps on the bed, or on the couch. He only sleeps on the floor if he wants. He even has his own glass on the nightstand in case he gets thirsty. He is old and my bed is high, so I have created stairs for him to use to get on and off the bed. He has no one to bother him and gets his way most of the time.
A few months after I got him, he started wheezing. Not often, but it did happen. This has escalated to a few times a day. After doing some research on the Internet I have discovered that Eddie now has asthma brought on by allergies.
I feel really bad. I have provided him with a luxury retirement home, but in a place where he can't breath.
I have an appointment to take him to the vet on Wednesday. I am hoping there is an allergy treatment for cats that isn't expensive.
