Christmas?

I am feeling very NOT in the Christmas spirit this year. Ordinarily I really like Christmas, mostly because it is the one day a year I get to spend time with my family when no one has anything else going on, especially me. The food, the presents, the lights, I like it all.

This year, I just can't get into it. I have an ipod full of Christmas music that I'm just not listening to. I haven't put up a single decoration or light. This is most unsual because normally when I move into a new apartment I wait for christmas to put up all my snowflake stuff, then I never take it down. No one can say anything because they aren't christmas deocorations, they are just snowflake lights. I LOVE IT. It doesn't help any that I have been working so much that I haven't had TIME to put up any decorations.

This year my dad is in CA with Lynda because he has been working in San Fran since August and will be there till January. It really doesn't make sense for them not to stay there. Because of this my sis and her family didn't come down this year for our early Christmas with them. This was okay because when I went to SLC for Thanksgiving with my mom and sis, we did Christmas then. Last week my dad told me he put a box in the mail for me, but I still haven't gotten it. My sis got hers a few days later, but there is no sign of mine. :(

I picked up shifts at the airport in exchange for a day off in January, so now I am working on Christmas Eve and day.

I guess what it comes down to is that with the warm weather, green grass, no snow, no day off, and no family, it just doesn't FEEL like Christmas.
