Thanksgiving/Christmas

Because of some advanced planning on my part, I did not have to work at the airport on Thanksgiving or the day before. Yea me!

I looked at flights and decided to spend the holiday in SLC. I asked my boss at my M-F job if I could have Wednesday off (the office was closed Thurs and Fri),and she said yes. I flew to SLC after work on Tuesday.

I convinced my family to have Thanksgiving Dinner a day early. It was great! You could go to the store and get anything we had forgotten and we eat a feast! Dinner was late, of course, but that was okay.

Because I wasn't going to be able to make it back for Christmas, I talked my mom and sis into doing our gift exchange while I was there. Thanksgiving morning my mom made fruit crepes (our traditional Christmas morning breakfast). After breakfast we exchanged gifts then I packed up and headed to the airport for the last flight of the day back to Phoenix.

I got home and spent the rest of the day watching TV with Eddie. I went to bed early. It was nice.

I had to work at the airport the rest of the weekend. The days were long, but it really wasn't bad. People actually planned ahead and didn't miss their flights. Don't get me wrong, some still missed their flights, but not as many as usual.
