Weather and the holidays

The holidays are bad enough at the airport, but thrown in a few snow storms and we have a whole new ball game.

It started last week when it snowed in Vegas. Yes, for those of you that didn't know, it snowed 4 inches at the Vegas airport and it was closed. ALL flights to Vegas were diverted to Sky Harbor (Check out my friend's husbands blog for some cool pictures). It didn't take long before NO AIRLINE had any seats on any flights out of PHX for DAYS.

Oh yeah, did I mention I had to work that day? It was NOT FUN. Friday the 19th was the busiest holiday travel day of the season. (I had to work then too) There was a HUGE storm in the Northeast. Milwakee closed. JFK, Newark, Philly and Salt Lake were ALL on AT LEAST a 3 hour delay. SO NOT FUN! I had to stay at work 2 extra hours every day. It SUCKS not getting off work until midnight. :(

I work doubles from the 24th to the 28th. I am watching the weather like a mad person and hoping beyond hope that the storms are over.
