It's about time!

Shortly after I moved to Phoenix, the lock on the driver's door of my car broke. The door still locks, but you can't unlock it from the outside. You have to unlock the passenger door, crawl across, and unlock it from the inside. It is a huge PAIN IN THE ASS, so I stopped locking the drivers side door. I hit the locks when I get out of the car and close the door instead of holding up the handle to engage the lock. In a world of remote locks, my actions do not look out of the ordinary.

My car is a 1992 Subaru Legacy Sedan. Everything on it is stock, the clear coat is pealing in a few places and I have a few cancer spots. NOTHING about this car says there is anything of value in it. Because I'm not stupid I don't leave ANYTHING of value in it. If I forget my phone or iPod, I go back and get it. Quite frankly, they are worth more than the car.

Anyway, I got home from work around 10:30pm on Sunday and left for work at 9am on Monday. When I walked up to my car, the door was open. Not standing open, but open. I opened the door to find my glove box open and the contents all over the passenger seat. I checked to make sure the things that are important to me were still there (phone and iPod chargers/flashlight/car insurance info) put everything back in the glove box and left for work.

All I could do is laugh. What dumbass would think there was anything of value in THIS car? All they did was waste their time. Jokes on them.

In all honesty, I'm surprised that it took 2 and a half years for someone to "break-in." I really thought it would happen a long time ago. I was honestly starting to think that my car was SO GHETTO that no one was going to waste their time with it. I guess I was wrong.

How desperate must that guy have been? LOL!
